Beware of Suspicious E-mails:  New Phishing Scheme Reported

December 2009
A new phishing scheme has been identified, in which credit union members are targeted with fake e-mails supposedly from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).  The fake e-mails say that people need to fill out an online form because of unusual account activity.  CUNA is saying, "All these messages are fraudulent, please don't respond to these messages."

Please remember that as a member of Hawaii State FCU, you will never be asked for any confidential information via e-mail or by phone.  If you receive any suspicious e-mails, phone calls, text messages or letters in the mail, please contact your nearest branch, or call: 587-2700 (Oahu), or 1-888-586-1056 (Toll-free).
